Fond Farewell

Last blog post! How sad.
Looking back over the WOW experience, I have to say...it's pretty much what I expected. Yes it's fun, and it can definitely suck you in, but the lack of the plot and the necessity of interactive playing just didn't do it for me. I like the little quests, I really liked the game play, but its such a vast world with so many rules and so much lingo, that for someone who isn't obsessive about it, it tends to just freak them out. (I can say that from my own personal experience) Also, if you aren't awesome at the game, everyone can tell so quickly. If you're playing a one player game on a playstation, you're saved from that embarrassment. Online community games are just so...revealing. I, personally, am not a fan. I liked some of the challengings, and I liked a lot of the quests, but it didn't suck me in after the first week. Once the novelty wore off, there was nothing left to keep my playing.
Wowhead is still my favorite website. I enjoy youtube.com for any wow videos, and there are quite a few jokes about WOW that I can now fully enjoy, but Wowhead is the best tool for new players. I thought the actual websites out there are pretty horrible for new users. They all seem to be geered towards the player that's already well versed in the WOW language, which I clearly wasn't. The WOW community has to work on welcoming in beginners, or noobs, as they like to call them. Wowhead was the best at keeping it simple and I value them for all the help :)
